IELTS Training at the KSAALT @ 10 Conference with KSAALT TESOL

Biography

Ms. Quayat is originally from Canada and started her ELT teaching development in South Korea, 2005. After working in the far east, she moved to Saudi Arabia in 2009 and has been working in various regions since.
She is now an internationally recognized teacher trainer in various disciplines, including IDP IELTS Masterclasses, Cambridge CELTA and CET.

This IELTS professional development workshop has been developed by IDP IELTS Middle East in collaboration with a CELTA/DELTA trainer. The workshop raises awareness of the format of the IELTS test and task types, essential skills that are being assessed on the IELTS test, how these skills are assessed, and then links this understanding to effective practical strategies for teaching IELTS preparation in the classroom. The Reading and Writing components of this workshop focus on preparing students for the Academic module of the IELTS test. This is an interactive session with a high degree of participant involvement.

Participants will receive an IDP IELTS Teacher Handbook for each course component: Reading and Writing. In addition, Upon completion of the courses, participants will receive a certificate of attendance; documenting their participation and presence during the sessions.

Teachers attending this course may be native or non-native speakers of English with a recommended proficiency of at least band 6.5 or above.

Please note – This is NOT an examiners’ course, and certificated IELTS Examiners are not permitted to attend this course.

Once you are registered for the conference and have paid the appropriate conference fee, your application to attend this workshop will be processed.

The training will cover Writing from 9 to 12 then Reading from 1 till 4. There will be a break for trainees to join the conference for lunch.
